Students in North Dakota will soon have more opportunities to learn about STEM activities and innovation at a new Gateway to Science center.
On Monday, the organization broke ground on a new building near the Bismarck State College campus. The center will have a hands-on exhibit gallery and an education wing. The $20 million, 43,000 square foot center will also allow the organization to travel to more places across the state to teach science, engineering, math and technology programs.
“What we do is to give back to all of the kids, all the families in our community, in our region and in North Dakota ,” Gateway to Science Executive Director Beth Demke said.
The new building is set to open in 2021.
