Barnes & Noble

University of North Dakota

JLG’s Barnes & Noble superstore is the first entity to occupy the University Village development, making it a true destination point and catalyst for future growth. Campus character is captured through the use of large windows, dark brick and the collegiate gothic details of the corner cafe’s tower.

The interior is a warm inviting space created through the use of exposed wood trusses and overhead natural light. Further connection to campus is made through the use of reclaimed brick and salvaged entry pediment from Old Science Hall, which acts as a main focal point in the building’s great hall.
