Black Gold Farms is a multi-generation, family owned organization firmly planted in North Dakota’s Red River Valley. It has been around for more than 80 years and has evolved into a global potato production, sales and service company, and industry leader.

In fact, they are the nation’s largest supplier of chip potatoes. Black Gold recently made the decision to build a new Corporate Headquarters in Grand Forks, ND.

Since they are a growing company, the building is built with room for 20% growth, and a future addition is planned for. There are many sustainable features of the Black Gold Corporate Headquarters such as the use of sunshades on the exterior of the building to allow in ample amounts of indirect light (daylighting), resulting in a minimal amount of electrical lighting use during the day. Reclaimed wood from one of the company’s original buildings is also being used to make the reception backdrop.
