Devils Lake Airport Rescue & Firefighting Building

Devils Lake, North Dakota

Designed the compliment the nearby air passenger terminal (also by JLG), the Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting Building (ARFF) houses the Devils Lake Airport’s fire station and snow removal equipment. The 5,800 sf building relocated these functions to provide quick response to all areas of the airport. Accessory spaces include shower facilities, training room and a day lounge. The exterior, a combination of concrete masonry and metal panel, reflects the aeronautic-inspired design of the neighboring air terminal. The structure was designed to incorporate a pre-engineered metal building system in order to meet a limited budget.
