Devils Lake Library

This study investigated the possibility of co-locating the Lake Region Heritage Center and the Devils Lake Carnegie Library into the historic 1909 Devils Lake Post Office and Federal Building. The building would be renovated and include two new additions. The east addition would add 2,988 s.f. and house new vertical circulation, elevator and rest rooms for the entire building.

The south addition would provide an additional 2,493 s.f. and a separate street entrance for the library which would occupy the entire lower floor. The additions would be designed to match the architecture of the original structure and constructed from Indiana limestone to match the construction material of the building.
