Doubletree by Hilton

Omaha, Nebraska

Originally built in 1969 as a motor lodge, this hotel underwent a complete transformation. To say that the property was run down when our client purchased it is an understatement. After the extensive exterior and interior renovation, the property reopened as a Doubletree by Hilton. JLG | AcV2 remodeled 140+ key hotel consisting of a five-story room tower, 400-person conference center, pool/patio, fitness room, upscale American bistro, and lounge. Visually appealing from the Interstate, the new exterior features zinc and wood veneer cladding and dramatic new entrance canopies. The interior consists of multiple seating areas to offer guests places to gather in groups small or large.

Changes in finish materials mark the difference between circulation areas, quick meeting places, and spaces to linger a bit longer. The custom-designed guest rooms offer a range of configurations. Many of the original rooms were too small for a contemporary hotel, so rooms were cleverly combined to create suites and accessible bathrooms. Barn doors on the bathroom and modern furnishings and fixtures create an upscale, yet inviting feel.
