Edgewood Clubhouse
Fargo, North Dakota
Following a JLG facility study the Fargo Park District determined it needed to replace its 1922 clubhouse due to a slipping bank along the edge of the Red River. The new clubhouse is located farther from the rivers edge and is the focus of an entirely new golf experience. The driving range and parking are integrated with the clubhouse, which has better control of the course functions.
The 6,000 s.f structure features a new pro shop, restaurant and bar. Carts are stored in an on-grade enclosure designed to complement the new course, which can also function as a pavilion.
The food service component of Edgewood Golf Course Clubhouse was designed to maximize efficiency – in staffing, in operation and in square footage. Because of the seasonal ebb and flow of this project type, it was important that the entire building could be operated by a single staff person at some times during the year, making views and access to/from the kitchen very important.
