Faith Lutheran Church, a growing congregation in Spicer, MN, had completed phase one of their new facility and, four years later, were in need of additional fellowship and educational space. JLG Architects helped the church add 3,400 square feet of classroom space for the children’s ministry and 7,300 square feet of fellowship hall, in addition to expanding the kitchen, adult education spaces and youth center.

The adult education, youth center and the fellowship hall areas are easily accessible from the existing narthex/commons space, but can also be separately accessed and locked off from the remainder of the church facility to facilitate a varied church activity schedule.

The new addition to Faith Lutheran Church offered the congregation the opportunity to add a bell tower, which houses the historic church bell from the congregation’s original church building and also identifies the new facility from the nearby state highway.
