In 2003, the YMCA wanted to expand their offerings in weightlifting and cardiovascular equipment. The wood floor was refurbished at the lower gymnasium with a new skywalk with large viewing windows connecting to the new cardiovascular room.

In 2011, JLG was retained to complete a major renovation to the facility and help upgrade the interiors to reflect the new corporate YMCA branding. A new weight room was added to a remodeled cardiovascular area by infilling with a new floor above three of the old raquetball courts. The three old racquetball courts and adjacent old weight area were remodeled to create a new fitness studio level. To make for a more efficient and welcoming experience, the entire lobby area was also remodeled as part of the project. The end result is a facility that is user friendly, provides excellent service to the clientele, and meets the current branding vision of the YMCA.
