As the City of Killdeer is experiencing unprecedented growth due to increased activity in the Bakken oil fields they identified the need for increased city services for their citizens.

The existing City Hall and Police Department, located in a metal building, has proved to be undersized and lacking in civic presence. JLG came on board in 2015 to assess current and future needs – as well as to create a fresh vision for City Hall and Police facilities.

The proposed City/Police complex creates a citizen-friendly civic plaza between the two welcoming arms of the building with the hope of engaging citizens in the workings of their government and creating a public gathering place for art fairs, farmer’s markets or City Hall concerts-on-the-plaza.
