Minnesota Wild Practice Facility

Minneapolis, Minnesota

Born in the State of Hockey, The Pond at Seven Corners is a high-energy redevelopment concept for the site directly adjacent to the Xcel Energy Center, along 7 Corners corridor.

The mixed use elements include an upscale hotel, indoor practice facility, restaurant and retail tenants, and an outdoor skating “pond” and park space, which is intended to complement the existing urban elements of the area. State of the art athletic training facility and ice practice area are key elements, with strategic opportunities for public to view and be a part of the Minnesota Wild players atmosphere.

The building massing and design is intended to preserve primary view corridors from several key landmarks, including the State Capitol Building and the St. Paul Cathedral. Sustainable design elements include maximum passive solar orientation, high efficiency mechanical systems, and a green roof to minimize storm water impact.
