Pinch and Pour
Fargo, North Dakota
Pinch & Pour is place where both the casual and master chef can browse, taste and shop for oils and spices of all flavors and origins. The atmosphere shops as a small alley market open to the adjacent and complimentary Fowlers Heritage Company and Prairie Petals which connected back to the Loretta Building’s main hall. This connection creates an internal street of pedestrian traffic directly connected to an alley at one end and the main downtown thoroughfare on the other. Rich earthy tones with a pinch of liveliness and unique reclaimed display and furniture pieces scattered throughout serve as the backdrop where the consumer can meander in a causal and comfortable setting.
The goal was to create a space that was visually rich perceivable but not overwhelming layers. In addition to color, reclaimed light fixtures, textural pieces of furniture and the products themselves, this depth was achieved by revealing original brick along the storefront, uncovering and restoring the original wood floors and wood trusses.
