The $3.75 million, two-phase project to expand to more than 20,000 square feet, with more patient services and physicians will begin with a 10,840-square-foot expansion west of the existing clinic. Once the first phase of construction is finished in April or May 2018, phase two would include another 10,000-square-foot addition and removal of the original building and turning that area into new parking.

There are plans to offer space for patient community education, and Sanford will continue to provide laboratory, X-ray and mammography services. When complete, it will be home to 18 doctors and about 40 staff.
