Schaumberg Arena

Bismarck, North Dakota

The renovation and ice replacement project for the Schaumberg Arena was a part of the comprehensive facilities masterplan completed by JLG in 2012. As a part of the initial analysis, the original facility and ice making equipment was initially installed in late 1960’s and needed full replacement. The original facility had a sand-floor under the ice, and the new ice replacement project included adding a concrete floor to allow for additional community usage during the non-ice season.

Conservation The project also included the addition of a low-e protective film mounted at the ceiling to protect the building insulation, and also increase the overall lighting quality of the space without requiring new light fixtures.
