In 2002, the City of Minot had no Convention / Conference facilities on the south side of the city. JLG Architects was hired by an investment group to master plan and design the Sleep Inn and Suites Motel, Conference Center and Water Park attached to the largest regional shopping center in Northwest North Dakota. This 144,000 square foot Conference Center contains 293 Motel Rooms, 2 Conference Rooms, Meeting Rooms, Commercial Kitchen facilities, Water Park, Bar, and general support space.

The original phase of the project was so successful, the planned future addition was constructed within two years of the completion of the initial project. Because of the direct connection to Dakota Square Mall and it’s many other amenities, the Conference Center offers superior convenience for casual, family and business travelers alike.
