Rapid City, South Dakota

Originally built as the Casper Supply Company in 1946, the building at 415 Main Street is more familiar as Parts Central. Located in downtown Rapid City, the Parts Central Building is a prime example of the late western Art Deco movement. The building has many Art Deco characteristics: flat wall surfaces, decorative brickwork, and pilasters that rise above the roofline.

JLG worked to retain these key historical elements of the building while creating flexibility and incorporating more natural daylight into the space. Both the main floor and basement are being developed as leasable office space. JLG also added a second main entrance and introduced new windows, skylights and transoms.
