UND University Place

University of North Dakota

After an extensive housing study that examined the current and future housing needs for the campus, JLG designed University Place, a University of North Dakota housing project, provides a new campus quadrangle of housing on the west side along University Avenue. The residence hall was designed to elevate the entire housing mix for the University by bringing new amenities, services and architectural character to the existing housing stock.

To that end, University Place features a food emporium and coffee shop (including a drive-up window) and study lounges with fireplaces. Designed to be green, the facility utilized recycled materials and a commissioning program, among many other green features. JLG Architects designed this project in conjunction with Solomon Cordwell Buenz.
